Refs Announced for SuperBowl 43. Terry McAulay?
The NFL Announced the refs for the SuperBowl today. They have decided to go with Terry McAulay.
Reference the GVG Report Ref Checker and you'll see that McAulay's claim to fame this year is that he has called the most penalties against the losing team of any ref.
In Week 17, he called the Giants - Vikings game. The Vikings won 20-19. McAulay called 7 penalties for 49 yards against the Giants and 2 penalties for 20 yards against ther Vikings.
In Week 19, the Division Week playoffs, he called the infamous Ravens - Tiatns game in which Joe Flacco ran out of the endzone and the Ravens ran out of play clock all unseen by McAulay. The Titans (the loser) were penalized 12 times for 89 yards while the Ravens were penalized 8 times for 40 yards.
In the SuperBowl.. watch out for who gets hammered the most by the yellow flag. They will likely lose this game.
